I have had Meniers for 23 yrs-hearing gone on left side and now moved over to right side and on bad days, hearing at 38% understandability-good days 80%. Balance attacks coming at least once a day-was taking valium and meclazine to control- walking around in a fog. Had 3 steroid injections and they did not touch the balance but made the good hearing days more frequent, so that was good. Finally doc said no more shots and prescribed Klonopin taken 1 a day for 2 wks, then incr to 2 for 2 wks then 3 if needed so it builds up in system over time. I am on day 5 of 1 pill each night and have not had a single balance attack and hearing is still here-I even danced the other night and have not done that in 2 yrs at least! Has anyone else been put on this medication...and had these results? It has been incredible and may help someone out there to ask their doc about it .......
