Exercise?I'm new to this forum. I wondered if people are really sticking to the low salt diet. It is hard. I have been doing pretty well but have been eating chocolate for the last several days. And I think it has caught up with me. I know I am getting an episode when my jaw feels tense and tight, And I start sweating a lot and have a little hard time swallowing. It always happens always in the morning. Any thoughts on other people's symptoms and how to keep from getting it in the morning. intratympanic gentoamicin treatmentI'm a sufferer - 3 years. I'm looking into the above treatment - an injection into the inner ear. I'd like to hear from people that have tried it - or contemplated it but decided against. I have tried the 'search' tool but can't find any info. Surely this is a topic that must have been discussed here?

Another day of hellToday was another day of vertigo. I have been so good with my salt intake and medications. Living 15 years with this and don't know what else to do. I am scared to get into the car with my girls and on pins and needles of when the next episode is going to happen. Does anyone have any success stories of surgery? I am going to talk to my doctor about surgery options this week.
KlonopinI have had Meniers for 23 yrs-hearing gone on left side and now moved over to right side and on bad days, hearing at 38% understandability-good days 80%. Balance attacks coming at least once a day-was taking valium and meclazine to control- walking around in a fog. Had 3 steroid injections and they did not touch the balance but made the good hearing days more frequent, so that was good. Finally doc said no more shots and prescribed Klonopin taken 1 a day for 2 wks, then incr to 2 for 2 wks then 3 if needed so it builds up in system over time.
AcupunctureI would really like to know anyone's experiences with acupuncture as it relates to this disorder?
Getting WorseI have been a support board user for another concern for some time and it has been a big help. I thought I would try a Menire's support board because I really would like more information for this disease which I have had for about 3 years. The first year I noticed the symptoms I was bounced around from doctor to doctor until one finally suspected Menires. I was sent to the Otology Group at Vanderbilt University where I got the definite diagnosis. I was told very little about what I could do about Menires other than ditch the salt and learn to relax. Wow, tough to do.
