June, 2009AccupunctureI have been dealing with Meniere's for about 3 years know, and only over the past 4 months have I been on a regiment of diazide and meclizine for the bad days. I recently meet a gentleman who had veritigo spells, and he said that he had seen an accupuncture specialist. The results were fantastic, and he has not had any syptoms of the vertigo. Has anyone every tried the accupuncture method?
New to site - Gent. vs EMS?Hi all! I'm new to the site and am trying to get some opinions about two treatments. I've had tinnitus for 20+ years and hearing loss in the right ear for 10 years but have only had actual vertigo attacks for the past 5 years. Attacks have become more frequent in the past two years and now I have tinnitus and hearing loss in the left ear. Being treated be Dr Mattox at Emory University Hospital. He has given me two options-- gentamicin therapy or endolymphatic mastoid shunt surgery. KlonipinBeen on Klonipin for 10 years and haven't had another episode until now. Was on Klonipin once daily with provision to go to four if I got an episode. Been doing that and it is clearing. Hearing is maintaining. I am a professional voice teacher and singer so I need my hearing.
Another day of hellToday was another day of vertigo. I have been so good with my salt intake and medications. Living 15 years with this and don't know what else to do. I am scared to get into the car with my girls and on pins and needles of when the next episode is going to happen. Does anyone have any success stories of surgery? I am going to talk to my doctor about surgery options this week.
