May, 2009Home ArsenalI am new to MD and am wondering if any of you keep a home arsenal of medicine for when you have an attack? I had to go to the emergency room the other night but would like to avoid that in the future. At this point, I have meclizine. I am wondering what other things people keep around for when then feel an attack coming on.
KlonopinI have had Meniers for 23 yrs-hearing gone on left side and now moved over to right side and on bad days, hearing at 38% understandability-good days 80%. Balance attacks coming at least once a day-was taking valium and meclazine to control- walking around in a fog. Had 3 steroid injections and they did not touch the balance but made the good hearing days more frequent, so that was good. Finally doc said no more shots and prescribed Klonopin taken 1 a day for 2 wks, then incr to 2 for 2 wks then 3 if needed so it builds up in system over time.
