New to Meniere's and finding it tough

.

Symtoms

Hi all,
I just wanted to ask you what you feel when you have a menieres attack?
For me its been pretty constant ..every day. Its so bad that I dont want to go far from my house ..in fear of an attack. When I get my attacks, my head spins inside. I lose my concentration.. lose my balance and have the need to grab onto something so I can keep my balance. I also have tinnitus. I have no fullness feeling in my ear. Off balance every single day..and taking is shower can be a real nightmare in the morning.

Does dizziness always accompany Menieres?

My daughters hearing comes and goes and all her symptoms resemble Meniers except the dizziness! She may have slight dizziness but nothing major. She is only 18 and lost hearing in her right ear as a child, maybe from Kawasakis disease, we dont know why... And now her hearing in her left ear comes and goes with no regularity.

Injections

Hello all! I am wondering if anyone can tell me about the gent injections. Has anyone had them done..How much pain is involved..and what was your recovery like. I would also like to know if you had to get more injections after the first series.Did you require more maybe 6 months to a year later or two years later?? I have to make a decision SOON. And of course scared to death. Especially seeing someone come at my ear with needles.

Acupuncture

I would really like to know anyone's experiences with acupuncture as it relates to this disorder?

ibuprofen?

So in some of the reading I have done about Meniere's, there has been mention of Ibuprofen as something to avoid? I would really like to understand this better. It kind of seems counter intuitive, in that I would think an anti inflamatory, if anything might help, but I certainly have no real understanding. I would also say, I have taken this drug occasionally, and have never noticed any "meniere's effects", but would really like to know other people's experences.
